Bruce Waldack's Memorial and Wake
Bruce Waldack, 44, died in Buenos Aires in late June, 2007. Friends and family gathered at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA, for a traditional memorial service. Afterward, a group of ~20 of us went to Bruce's favorite dive bar, Dancing Peppers, and shared stories, drinks, and plenty of middle fingery. If Bruce were around, he would have skipped the memorial, given some outlandish excuse for not having been there, and would have already been several cocktails ahead of us by the time we arrived at the bar. Damn I miss him.
